Deaf Action’s employability service supports deaf and hard of hearing people in Edinburgh to achieve their employment goals.

How can we help?

Whether you’re searching for your first job after leaving education, looking to get back into employment, or ready to take the next step in your career, our employment service is here to help.

We’ll be with you every step of the way. From job searching and applications, to CV and interview support, our sessions are delivered in BSL or English to suit your needs.

One to one support in BSL or English

Our employability advisor will meet with you on a 1-1 basis, creating an individual action plan tailored to you and your goals.

Advice and support

We can offer advice and support on a range of topics, including:

  • Job search
  • Job applications
  • Creating or updating your CV
  • Interview practice and skills
  • Setting goals for yourself
  • Building self esteem and confidence
  • Access to Work and how to work with an interpreter
